Lavander cupcakes


Preparation for coating,soak some lavander( eatable) flowers with a third cup of  milk leave it for about 20 minutes Makes 12

125g plain flour

110g butter

2 tsp baking powder

Eggs

3 tbsp milk

In a mixer whisk the butter with the sugar until frothy.Add the eggs and continue mixing,

Sift the flour to which you will have incorporated the baking powder into the mixture.

Mix well until you obtain a thick and creamy paste

 Add the milk from which you will have removed or strained the lavender.

Beat the mixture well and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

Pour the mixture into individual cups and bake in the oven at 180C for 10 minutes or until golden.

When cool, or the next day

 Decorate with icing sugar coat 

mix 150 grams icing sugar with the sieved lavander milk , about 2 tablespoons, mix well and then spread it over each cake .

South african crustless milk taart




Best milk taart ever !



4 Cups milk
1 Cup sugar
1 t baking powder
1 Cup flour
2 T butter
1 t vanilla
3 eggs, separated
pinch of salt

Beat the egg whites until stiff.
Melt butter and add sugar, salt and egg yolks. Mix.
Add baking powder and flour. Gradually add milk and vanilla.
Fold in the egg whites.

Pour into an oven dish sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 180C for 30-40 min It musn't be too wobbly when you take it out. It will be a little wobbly, but if too much it won't set properly.)

How to make !
Put some muesli of your choice, on the bottom of a small glass
add some red fruits and put some honey on top (if you like it sweet )
add again muesli ( a little) add some vanilla yogurt, , some fruit on top to decorate and finish it with chia seeds .

Lime madeleine


Here is how to make them !



100 melted butter

2 eggs

100 grams sugar

1 tea spoon baking powder

100 grams flour 

juice of 1/2 lime



1. Mix the eggs with the sugar  

2. Mix the flour and baking powder , add to the previous mixture.

3.Add the melted  butter and  the lime juice 

4. Pour in the moulds and bake in a preheated oven at 180°c for 15 minutes , until golden brown.


ps, you can use orange or lemon juice !
