Biscotti



These biscotti are made with pistache nuts and some cramberries
traditional italian biscotti















These are delicious and they stay good for many days

 

What you need ,



 

1 ½ cup unsalted butter

¾ cup granulated sugar

 ¾ cup light brown sugar
 2 eggs, lightly beaten

 ¼ cup anisette liqueur

 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

 ½ tsp baking powder

 ½ tsp baking soda

 ½ cup sliced almonds. or pistache , pinenuts


 Preheat oven to 180°. Lightly grease baking pan with  butter. Cream together the butter and sugars. Add the eggs and anisette. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda into a separate, large bowl. Mix together the butter and flour mixtures until well mixed and a dough forms. Fold in the almonds. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and form each into an oval-shaped mound about 5 cm high. Place the dough mounds on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. take them from the oven and Slice the mounds lengthwise into small slices Return to the oven and bake for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Coconut cake with chia seeds

Thermomix recipe
  • 200 grams  brown sugar
  • 130 grams Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 160 grams   flour with 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 juice of a lemon
  • 50 grams milk
  • 70 grams dessicated coconut
  • 50 grams chia seeds

How to make



Place sugar and butter into the bowl and cook for 3 mins 90 degrees speed 2.

Aerate for 1 minute Speed 3

Add eggs through lid, one by one on Speed 3

Add flour and juice of a lemon, mix for 20 seconds Speed 5.

Scrape inside of bowl, Add chia, coconut and milk and mix for 20 Seconds speed 5.

 cook for  35 to 40 minutes



 Good to know !


Chia seeds has 8 times more omega 3 than salmon, more importantly; chia doesn't contain cholesterol and toxic heavy metal components as fish and other marine or animal products.

Chia seed contains 5 times more calcium than milk.
I use them in the morning with the breakfast , on the yogurt , or to add in fresh fruit juices , even in soup ! it will give volume to your soup !
